To install DirectAdmin, we recommend starting from a fresh installation of CentOS 7. While other distributions are supported, this is going to be the most common base and therefore will be the easiest to receive support for.
To install DirectAdmin on CentOS 7, you should first make sure that the OS has been updated by running this via SSH/console:
yum update -y
Once that finishes running, these commands will start the install:
wget https://www.directadmin.com/setup.sh
chmod 755 setup.sh
./setup.sh auto
Once the installation has finished, the "admin" user password will be printed in the terminal for you to save. Once that has completed, you can open the control panel in your browser. For this tutorial, we're going to assume that your server IP address is "1.2.3.4" so you should replace that with your actual server IP. For our assumption, the control panel URL would be:
